For more information visit .Job Purpose:Development and implementation of statistical methodologies to allow for conclusive evaluation of lead compounds and drug candidates.Primary Accountabilities:Develops statistical methodologies to evaluate drug candidates throughout the entire research and development cycle, with particular emphasis on innovative methodologies to establish proof of concept.Develops capabilities to generate and use advanced statistical methodologies and models in collaboration with leading academic institutions and regulatory bodies. Evaluates validity, accuracy, consistency and completeness of external scientific data (in-licensing opportunities but also publications).Promotes clear understanding within Alcon community of Biostatistics including principles, guidelines and ethics.Education and Experience:Advanced scientific degree and recognized expert in biostatistics and methodology.Industry experience with significant people management responsibilities and experienced in working in a matrix organization.Expert knowledge in relevant statistical guidelines (ICH) and established track record in negotiating with external parties, in particular with health authorities (FDA, EMEA and PMDA) and national payors.Experience factors typically are related to prior scientific/technical achievements, increasingly responsible background in organization building of a scientific/technical function, and accomplishments in positions of leadership.
