This industry leader has operations all over the world and headquartered in the Greater Cincinnati area.   A successful candidate will display direct procurement or buying experience of raw materials and/or chemicals. Oversee all purchasing activities associated with supply chain management and procurement of raw materials. Provide raw material purchasing management support for a number of North American plant locations. Initiate and coordinate activities and projects with operating plants, as well as suppliers to reduce cycle times, raw material expenditures and other associated costs. Develop and implement sourcing strategies for assigned plant locations. Manage all supply chain activities associated with assigned plant locations, and monitor supplier performance. Coordinate raw material sourcing with other plants to leverage purchasing volume to reduce the number of suppliers, thereby lowering costs. Work with Global Purchasing Management to develop and execute global and regional raw material purchasing strategies.
