•Location:    Richmond, VA 23218•Job Status:    Full Time, Employee•Job Category:    IT/Software Development•Career Level::    Experienced (Non-Manager)Senior Application Developer Job Description:Responsibilities: Perform Technical Lead role on software development projects with responsibility for overall delivery of software components and data interface Responsible for the high level technical design amd development of platform business applications using existing and emerging technologies Provide technical leadership on business projects (define, structure, plan, and coordinate work) Interface with Project Managers, Business/Systems Analysts, Testers, Architects, and other platform support groups to deliver solutions and provide platform support Ensure requirements, designs, and code meet enterprise and platform architechural standards and objectives Support QA during testing and oversee production implementations Provide estimates for technical solutions Create and maintain system documentation Lead and participate in design and code reviews Define and enforce platform standards, controls, and governance policies to mitigate platform riskJob Experience:Basic Qualifications:• BS in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field• 5 years of experience with architecture, design, and development in one or more of the key disciplines listed below:Disciplines: Web Services and Service Oriented Architecture (Required: Java, J2EE, WebLogic Server, WebLogic Integrator, AquaLogic Service Bus, XML Schema, XQuery, RDBMS- primarily Oracle)Workflow and Presentation: (Required: .NET, C#, VB.NET, SQL Server, HTML, XML) (Preferred: .NET Infrastructure knowledge/experience)ETL Applications: (MVS Environment) (Required: MVS, DB2, COBOL, and JCL) (Preferred: Experience with Stored Procedures and Ab Initio)ETL (Red Hat Linux Environment) AND Data Warehouse Applications: (Required: ETL experience in Linux/Unix environment leading development of complex ETL solutions for both internal and external interfaces. Data Warehousing using Teradata for both analytical and operational data usage.)
