Sales Mananger

CORT Event Furnishings, A Berkshire-Hathaway Company, is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to service the following markets: Boston, New York/New Jersey, and Orlando. This hands-on position requires 3 or more years of sales management experience demonstrating continued development of both people & market share. Qualifications include extensive experience with outside sales team, and strategic planning skills. Travel up to 50% to 70% is required to provide sales support, training, and development of reporting Account Executives as well as for participation in industry related marketing events and management meetings.  Experience in managing from a distance is required. This position is located in Secaucus, NJ. The Regional Sales Manager will report to the National Sales Manager based out of Atlanta, GA. 

 

Key functions of this position include:

 Implement corporate sales strategies; uphold corporate standards, and pursue the goal of driving new sales and increasing market penetration.Reinforce a National Team Concept through consistent leadership and management of sales staff.Serve as direct supervisor of the Event Sales – Account Executives in assigned region.Work with reporting account executives to develop strong strategic plans, organizational, communication, and market coverage/penetration skills.Provide effective communication of sales strategies and AE development plans to District General Managers and Area Managers.Promote the National Accounts Program.Develop, support and promote strong Cort Furniture Rental district relationships.Hire/Train/Motivate qualified candidates to ensure national consistency in sales performance:Conduct bi-monthly visits to all reporting districtsConduct Regional Conference Calls – set agenda and coordinateActively participate in appropriate local and national industry-related associations:  ISES, Special Events, and NACE.  Consistently promote CORT Event Furnishings as the high quality answer to specialty furniture needs nationwide.Perform other duties as assigned.
