Consider having all this in a fast paced environment within a stable world-class organization.PURPOSE OF POSITION: Provides expertise, leadership and guidance in assessing site tactical and strategic risks and ensures Environment, Health and Safety compliance with regulations and internal policies and procedures. EDUCATION REQUIRED: Minimum: BS or BA in Engineering, Safety or Environmental Sciences, Chemistry, or related science with knowledge in engineering, science principles and regulations.Preferred: BS in above with Masters in related science and safety compliance background. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Minimum: Five to seven years with industry, preferably multi-site manufacturing operations, with primary responsibility for safety and/or environmental compliance. Regulatory agency experience in combination with industry work may also be accepted. Experience implementing Environmental Management Systems and/or working for an ISO 14001 certified facility.Preferred: Minimum of seven years primary work for industry as outlined above. Note 3-5 years experience with M.S.Alternative Certification: ASP, CSP, CIH, REM, EMT and other professional certifications preferred.DUTIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES:1. Review and report to site management new or existing regulatory requirements and corporate policies/programs and associated impacts. Design response actions. 2. Assure compliance in all areas of safety and environmental responsibility. Coordinates and completes all safety and environmental permits, reports and documentation requirements. Monitors compliance with regulations and SEA policy. Performs audit function of control systems..3. Develops site programs and provides training to site personnel to assure regulatory requirements are met.4. Possesses core expertise in functional area and conveys this knowledge in team environments. Interface with management and supervision as well as site natural workgroups.5. Ensures systems are in place and maintained to properly document Alcon's obligations.6. Ensure EH&S information is routinely communicated as appropriate to management and the site. Routinely report site EHS performance to management.7.
