Job Summary

The System Operations Support Analyst is responsible for providing 24x7 support functions for PCF data management, including Symphony related jobs, creating incident tickets based on system generated alerts, monitor system dashboards and when appropriate escalate to the team responsible for the systems. This position requires the ability to follow written procedures carefully with a high degree of precision. In addition the position will provide general support for the IT team and will assist with IT related projects.

Essential Functions & ResponsibilitiesSupport Windows XP, 2000/NT, as well as a wide range of applications and proprietary software including the full Microsoft suite, Adobe Acrobat, Symantec Antivirus, SAP client, Citrix and Lotus Notes clients through hardware/software installations and upgrades. Daily tasks will include monitoring batch processing, responding to alerts/messages/alarms, determining appropriate support groups and severity from available documentation, creating and properly routing incident tickets. Monitor Network and Systems dashboard, investigate any abnormalities and escalate to the appropriate team. Operations Analyst will be communicating with customers and restarting/re-running batch jobs after customer verification of incidents. Escalating to team members all unresolved incidents/issues and customer questions. Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service. Observe operation of equipment, control panels, error lights, verification printouts, error messages, and faulty output. Make procedural and/or operational corrections as necessary. Serve as liaison between staff and the technology department to resolve issues Maintain confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored or accessed.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Technical and Functional Knowledge of all Windows OS platforms, Cisco VPN Client, Lotus Notes, Microsoft Office Products and Symantec Anti-Virus Familiarity working in a computer networked environment with Windows 2000, Windows XP operating system for desktops Superior organization, problem solving, and interpersonal communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a professional, time-intensive manner Minimum of 1-2 years hands-on experience in the Systems Operations/computer support environment as well as customer service background. Great customer relations and communication skills Knowledge of Citrix Metaframe for remote network access Knowledge and ability to perform key tasks within SAP General knowledge of Unix based operating systems. Ability to comprehend technical language of operating instructions and equipment manuals and to clearly explain any operating problems and difficulties.
