SUPERINTENDENT

A highly regarded public school district that has been educating students since 1895 and located in Essex County, New Jersey, is seeking an exceptional educational leader. One of the most livable metro-area suburbs, West Orange is known for its academic excellence, co-curricular & athletic offerings, and strong music and arts programs. The Public Schools serve approximately 6,400 K-12 students in eleven school buildings & supports its educational program with a $127 million school budget.

QUALIFICATIONS:

* NJ School Administrator Certificate or Certificate of Eligibility
* Strong academic background and highly effective administrative skills
* Demonstrated success in a diverse educational setting
* Classroom teaching, building level, and/or central administration exp.
* Expertise in curriculum, staffing and evaluation
* Strong background in budget preparation and fiscal management
* Ability to work with the Board in developing and maintaining excellence in established and new educational programs tailored to the community
* Outstanding leadership, management & communication skills.

Position Available: On or about July 1, 2009. Salary: Competitive and commensurate with experience.
