SHIP FITTING LEADMAN/SHIP FITTING FOREMEN

Chesapeake Shipbuilding is pleased to offer full time, long-term growth positions for qualified ship fitting and welding lead men. We are a leading designer and builder of Tugs, Ferries and Passenger Vessels and are expanding our production capacity to meet increasing demand.  We currently have a 3-year backlog of contracted vessels.

 

The Ship Fitting Leadman will be responsible for laying-out, fabricating, and fitting Steel and Aluminum structural components such as foundations, bulkheads, decks, hulls, superstructures and frames.  The application must  possess the ability to read plans and lead a team of 3-4 workers.

 

The Ship Fitting Foremen will oversee the shipfitting work and supervise workers on 3-4 vessels under construction at one time to ensure high standards of productivity, safety and quality.
