SENIOR TECHNICAL DOCUMENTATION SPECIALISTS
Life Cycle Engineering (LCE), a leader in providing solutions-based information technology services to the Department of Defense (DoD), is currently seeking experienced Documentation Specialists with knowledge of project management, requirements planning, and client management.
Successful candidates will be actively involved in:
Providing frequent contact with customers, to ensure traceability between program documentation and requirements, deliverables, and tasking Interacting regularly and effectively with project leads, software developers, integrators, and test engineers to develop good working relationships and acquire information with regard to program policies, processes, deliverables, and technical updates Creating draft program documentation, generating formal review documentation, and participating in system and program reviews Preparing and/or reviewing technical and programmatic documentation to ensure their accuracy and to ensure that impacts are identified, understood, and communicated
Bring your knowledge and enthusiasm for complex systems and play a critical role in developing tomorrow?s DoD information systems strategies. LCE is looking for self-starters who meet the following criteria:
Bachelor?s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, or related major, or six plus years working with information systems Bachelor?s degree or certification in Technical Writing Three ? five years of technical writing experience within an IT project development environment Knowledge of Project Management methodologies and techniques A positive customer service attitude and demonstrated skill in oral and written communication Basic Knowledge of: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and Publisher, and Adobe Acrobat Pro U.S. DoD ?Secret? security clearance or the ability to obtain one by way of background check
Candidates with the following qualifications will be given additional consideration:
An in-depth knowledge of: IBM Rational ClearCase, IBM Rational ClearQuest, JIRA, and Subversion Knowledge and use of configuration management standards, experience in use and maintenance of configuration management databases for identifying, recording and tracking configuration plans, action items, schedules, approvals, etc., for computer system applications and software configurations Basic knowledge of DoD Directives/Instructions: DoDI 5000.2, DoDD 8500.1; DoDI 8500.2; DoDD/I 8530.1/.2; CJCSI/M 6510.1; the NSA/IATF; CC Protection Profiles (PP) for TCSEC Level ?C2? Controlled Access Knowledge of DoD/military command structure to include all branches of the Armed Services
Ideal candidates will be expected to support multiple DoD programs which currently include the Net-Enabled Command Capability (NECC), Net-Centric Enterprise Services (NCES), Consolidated Afloat Network and Enterprise Services (CANES), Joint Service Explosive Ordnance Disposal (JEOD), Joint Counter Radio-Controlled IED Electronic Warfare (JCREW), DoD Explosives Safety Board (DDESB), and the Global Information Grid (GIG) Federated Development and Certification Environment (FDCE).
