SENIOR MANAGEMENT ANALYST (EMERGENCY PLANNER AND OPERATIONS COORDINATOR)

 

Clark County, Nevada is currently accepting applications for Senior Management Analyst (Emergency Planner and Operations Coordinator). Bachelor’s degree with major course work in business or public administration or a related field, AND four (4) years of full-time professional local government emergency management experience. Professional level experience that has provided the skills and knowledge necessary to perform all job functions at this level may be substituted for the education on a year-for-year basis to a maximum of two year. Experience in a public agency setting and project or programmatic lead or supervisory experience is desirable. Examples of duties: Provides coordination and support for multi-agency public safety activities countywide across the spectrum of mitigation, preparation, response, and recovery activities. This includes various levels of support for projects designed to reduce the impact of natural, technological, or man made emergencies; emergency planning and testing of these plans, developing and conducting public safety training programs, designing and conducting training exercises, applying for and administering grants in support of public safety projects, providing coordination and support including emergency operations center (EOC) activation for given emergency incidents, and providing coordination and support to the emergency declaration and recovery processes following significant emergencies.
