Rubber Product Specialist
Applied Industrial Technologies, with more than 440 facilities and over 4,400 employee associates across North America, is seeking a motivated, Rubber Product Specialist for its Fort Worth, TX location.
Applied Industrial Technologies offers more than 2 million parts critical to the operations of customers in virtually every industry including food and beverage, petroleum, automotive, pulp & paper, mining, aggregate, and maintenance and repair. In addition, Applied provides engineering, design and systems integration for industrial and fluid power applications, as well as customized mechanical, fabricated rubber and fluid power shop services.
As Rubber Product Specialist, you will perform a variety of duties which include:
Rubber Product Specialist Requirements
Basic rubber knowledge is required – will train on specifics.
Heavyweight belting:
Belt construction designApplication knowledgeBasic conveyor designBasic troubleshooting – Conveyor Belt and operating conditions
Lightweight belting:
Belt construction designApplication knowledgeBasic conveyor designBasic troubleshooting
Additional Responsibilities:
Provide expertise to Applied Field sales personnel on Rubber products
Ø Conveyor belting – Lightweight and heavyweight.
Ø Industrial and Hydraulic hose.
Ø V’ beltsProvide expertise to end usersMake belting and hose recommendations Handle engineered sales opportunitiesConduct general rubber training seminars internally and externally
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent plus basic math aptitude and the ability to apply mechanical principles to address customer needs is required. Position requires occasional lifting of up to 75 pounds. Overtime hours and weekend work may be required. Trainees or persons experienced with conveyor belting. Must be physically fit and able to travel. Experience preferred but not required.
