General Description: The incumbent will be responsible for providing financial support of the Consumer Products Group and for Retail Link and Spectra Marketing data in order to proactively identify segment trends, competitive threats, and company opportunities. Responsibilities include working with the National Account Manager; developing action plans based on findings and presenting to departmental management and marketing; and using Retail Link information to perform periodic business updates.Minimum Requirements: BBA in accounting or finance with two or more years of experience in category management or customer development work. Strong familiarity with the issues and process involved in selling to the retail trade. Strong experience with financial, syndicated data and general business analysis. Previous experience working with Retail Link and Spectra data. Required skills include strong verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills; ability to work independently in a fast-paced analytic environment with minimal supervision; high level organizational and time management skills; strong analytical, negotiation and problem-solving skills; and exceptional computer skills with advanced Excel and spreadsheet analytical skills as well as strong PowerPoint presentation development skills.Preferred Qualifications: Four plus years working in consumer package goods.Our generous benefits package includes the Alcon 401(k) Plan which matches employee contributions up to 5% of eligible pay at the rate of $1.00 for each dollar contributed, and the Alcon Retirement Plan (ARP), a qualified plan in which Alcon contributes 7% of eligible pay to the accounts of all eligible employees.
