You will be the team lead for three or more sizable project initiatives leveraging cross-functional teams from the Business, Information Services, External Vendors, and/or third party consultants. You will be responsible for developing, updating, and integrating project plan timelines and budgets. You will collaborate with Project Stakeholders and Sponsors to ensure clear project objectives and deliverables are met in a timely, efficient, and effective manor. You will assist in the analysis and development of business process management enhancements as they relate to the successful integration and/or development of the initiatives that you lead. You will perform tasks in support of the goals and objectives of Research IS Senior Management. Job ResponsibilitiesProject Control:Lead and organize cross functional teams of IS and business Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to deliver technical solutions to the business Responsible for all aspects of Project Management with significant accountablity for budget, time line, resource management, risk mitigation and issue resolution. Leverage MS Project 2007and MS Project Server 2007 to manage project plans, solve issues, mitigate risks, manage resources, and track budget. Manage contractors in a flexible staffing pool (On shore/Off Shore) that will expand and contract with demand. Coordinate and execute deliverables for regulated systemsEstablish and track project objectives and success criteria.Leverage Global Regulatory & Research Operations (GRRO) Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and tools Execute plans, solve problems, and remove roadblocks.Relate project contribution to overall organizational strategy Participate in RFI and RFP selection process. Review and Approve project proposals provided by third party vendors. Project Deliverables:Seamlessly implement project deliverables for participating functional groups. Oversee the completion of analysis, design, validation, testing, post implementation, and support transition activities. Manage third party contracts to ensure successful implementation of agreed upon deliverables. Basic QualificationsBS/BA / MS/MA + 10 years. Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Project Management (CPM) accreditation is preferred.MS Project 2007, MS Project Server 2007 and MS Office skills required. EDMS, 21 CFR Part 11, eRoom, UML, XML, .NET, HP Mercury Suite, Oracle, and SQL experience preferred. Skills and Abilities: The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job:Experience implementing COTS and Custom Developed applications in a regulated environmentStrong understanding of technology systems and requirements to effectively mediate between technology and business needsDemonstrated ability to direct multiple strategic projects/initiatives at multiple sitesExcellent oral and written communication skillsTechnical knowledge with a demonstrated ability to apply solutions to complex business processesAbility to manage technical teams and work with time sensitive issues Excellent problem solving and interpersonal skillsExcellent task and time management skillsAbility to be flexible to the rapidly changing needs of the department and company.
