General Description: The incumbent will be responsible for enhancing the effectiveness of the offices of the Area President – LACAR in achieving growing, annual and longer term sales and profitable business in the LACAR area as measured by accepted quantitative and qualitative financial standards and benchmarks. Responsibilities include directing and coordinating all aspects of financial planning, analysis, accounting, and control of the Region assigned; identifying exposure to develop standards and controls; monitoring financial and business strategy execution in the Area assigned; and ensuring Alcon policy is properly implemented in a timely manner throughout the area.Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, or Accounting/Finance, or CPA equivalent plus 12-15 years of senior level experience in financial management with 3 years of supervisory experience and at least 3 years in international operations. Required skills include strong negotiation skills; Alcon product knowledge; knowledge of country specific issues of Tax, Treasury, Accounting and legal matters; interpersonal skills to effectively deal with individuals in different cultures; ability to provide financial support to senior operational management; and familiarity with integrated financial systems. English language required.Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree or MBA in Finance or Accounting with pharmaceutical/medical device company experience. Spanish language preferred.
