REGIONAL MANAGER, FIELD SERVICE
Job Description:Invensys Process Systems (IPS) provides products, services and solutions for the automation and optimization of plant operation and is at the forefront of technological innovation. It serves process industries such as oil and gas, hydrocarbons, chemicals, power and utilities, metals and mining, and also the discrete and hybrid manufacturing sectors such as pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare and life sciences. Its engineering services and technologies help production facilities across the world and across many different industries achieve more productivity, more efficiency and greater safety. IPS also provides regulatory compliance and business solutions and services for the pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare and life sciences industries. Establishes operational objectives and work plans, and delegates assignments to subordinate managers. Senior management reviews objectives to determine success of operation. Involved in developing, modifying and executing company policies that affect immediate operations(s) and may also have company-wide effect. Analyzes data to determine the probable financial and technical success of new business opportunities and makes recommendations to Management. Discretion: Erroneous decisions will result in critical delay(s) in schedules and/or unit operations and may jeopardize overall business activities. Interactions: As a representative of the Company, regularly interacts with senior management and customers on all post-order services including support of major project sales efforts and resolution of critical customer situations. Requires the ability to change the thinking of, or gain acceptance from, others in sensitive situations, without damage to the relationship. Presents and sells Company support agreement programs. Interfaces with field sales management to maintain a current awareness of required needs to enhance sales potential while providing a profitable business base. Knowledge: May participate in seminars and conferences, including preparation and presentation of a technical paper(s). Job Complexity: Works on issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in- depth knowledge of organizational objectives. Implements strategic policies when selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Establishes and assures adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements. Establishes field startup and maintenance budgets and is responsible for all financial activity associated with the field portion of the budget. Responsible for insuring that proper invoicing has occurred and payments are being received. Works with credit department and customer to settle disputed invoices. Develops quarterly forecasts and provides deviation analysis of revenue and costs for the assigned Region. Supervision: Directs the startup team, through subordinates, to insure a successful startup. Manages and controls field warranty activities in a manner which is financially and technically sound. Manages activities of two or more sections or departments through subordinate managers who exercise full supervision in terms of costs, methods, and staffing. Establishes measurable objectives with assigned personnel and regularly monitors performance. Ensures that job enrichment and training programs are established and implemented. Education: Bachelor's Degree Engineering, MBA preferred Experience: Typically requires 12+ years of related professional experience in the process control industry and 5+ years of management experience (or equivalent).
