QA Engineer, Heathcare, QTP, SQL, Palm.

Job Description:We are seeking a high potential QA engineer who has experience working with cutting edge web application technologies and has worked in start-up/ramp-up dynamic environments. Excellent knowledge in Quick Test Pro, SQL, and mercury tools. - Some experience in the health care arena or working with large data sets on the Palm is required. - Work with Customer Support, and Software Development to resolve product related anomalies. - Experience in testing wireless products and with software configuration management systems. - Capable of quickly understanding detailed business logic of customer and internal web applications. - Work with current staff to support software and dataload releases for the iScribe product. Investigate issues identified by users and work to make incremental improvements to the product. - Experience with all phases of product development lifecycle, including requirements definition, specifications, development, test, product release, and sustaining engineering. - Analyze project requirements. - Execute and analyze test results for manual and automated tests (some scripting may be required). - Proactively solve problems and suggest process improvements. - Identify project risks and recommend actions to minimize risk. - Perform grey box testing. - Develop test data, cases, and plans and apply technical skills to identify any product issues per defined product functionality. - Assist in running and analyze performance tests. - Create and maintain defects in Defect Tracking System. - Identify, isolate, report and track product defects in the defect tracking system. Qualifications: - Minimum of 3 years experience in SWQA. Exposure to IIS, .ASP, .NET Web Applications and SQL Server Exposure with automation test tools - Database skills with SQL knowledge. - Excellent skills in entering bug reports which can be easily understandable by others. Proficiency in writing SQL scripts, understanding databases, data models, data validation.Summary:Lead business process analyst role supporting key projects and initiatives serving as a collaborator between IT and internal business partners. Supports large, complex projects that have enterprise wide impact and require subject matter expertise of multiple process improvements and mastery of process improvement tools. Works as a project team member on multiple projects to facilitate process improvements (operational and technology centric) involving multiple sites or business areas, often as a project leader. Coaches and mentors more junior staff.Business/ IT Alignment: Lead key enterprise level projects & initiatives as a collaborator between IT and the business * Business Solution Scope and Requirements Definition: (a) Understands the implication of the business goals and priorities to drive the definition of scope of functionality and is able to identify any related cross enterprise impacts; (b) Optimize scope focusing on critical requirements defining and developing business requirements using techniques such as functional decomposition, business process re-engineering / mapping, and logical data modeling; (c) Assess the gaps between the "as is" and desired "to be" to identify alternative solutions; and (d) Document requirements and clarify business requirements to IT and subsequently confirm they are met throughout the SDLC. * Project Planning Management and Business Solution Assurance: (a) Manage the planning and requirements definition process for key IT initiatives; (b) Improve project quality - facilitate developing the right solution for the right price by understanding functional processes and critical business objectives; (c) Facilitate business benefit definition and resource requirement estimation; and (d) Manage project scope to minimize risk and maximize probability of successful delivery. * Provide thought leadership and insight to proposed IT solutions: (a) Research opportunities and appropriate business application of where emerging and enabling technologies may be exploited to grow the capabilities of the business; (b) Consider the technical solution in relation to evolving trends in technology as well as Caremark's environment and direction. * Best Practices: (a) Act and recognized as Subject Matter Expert (SME) in core BA competencies; (b) Drive utilization of best practices and provide methodology & tool knowledge transfer.Minimum of 9+ years demonstrated experience and expertise in: Business Strategy Definition /Business Process Mapping; IT Consulting / Business Strategy Consulting or similar corporate role; IT Development (full SDLC); IT Project Planning, Definition and Management; IT Business Requirements Definition using structured methodologies and toolsets. Experience with Business Strategy/IT Consulting Background. Trained and experienced in structure methodologies and tools using business analysis and decomposition techniques.
