Essential Skills:Develops a thorough understanding of the senior population (those age 50 and over) and businesses, products, and services pertaining to their lifestyle. Analyzes financial impact of potential strategic retail, pharmacy and healthcare related products and services to the 50 and over population. Directs, leads, and manages strategic senior projects in cooperation with personnel of related operating divisions. Designs and creates work plans for projects and agendas for meetings. Identifies key goals and tasks, completes project work internally and delegates appropriate work to other team members as needed. Performs extensive research on business opportunities and the competition related to seniors. Provides strong project management skills. Collaborates with Company personnel in development of financial, marketing, operational, and advertising strategies in the process of senior initiative development and expansion. Evaluates, defines, and develops project requirements, parameters, goals, and timeframes. Initiates and ensures project implementations are viable and beneficial to Walgreen Co. and are completed according to goals, scope, vision, and timelines.Qualifications:Bachelors degree required, MBA a plus. Candidate must have excellent project management skills. Job requires individual to be creative. Background in business strategy/strategic planning preferred.
