Product Development Manager - OEM Medical

Our client, has been in business for over 50 years and provides accessories for the handheld consumer electronic product industry.  They are looking for a Product Development Manager (OEM Medical) to grow with them.

 

Job Description
As a Product Development Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of OEM Medical product development and product maintenance projects from concept initiation to completion of first shipment to customer. 

 

Primary Responsibilities

 Manage the development of products (from concept to product delivery) to meet OEM Medical customer, sales and marketing defined functionality within specific price rangesWork in conjunction with Product Design, American and European based sales teams and an Asian based sourcing groupsEnsure ongoing product quality, and identify cost saving and product improvement opportunitiesCreate, develop, integrate and manage (track) schedule for product development and delivery; delivering products under budget and under time constraints

Job Qualifications  Bachelor Degree with an engineering and/or business related concentration preferredMinimum of 5 years of project and project development management experience required; 2 years of the experience must be in a role as a successful demonstrated product development manager with involvement from initial concept through product deliveryExperience dealing with Asian based suppliers a plus!Detail-oriented, organized, efficient and able to work with a broad range of projects under tight timing constraintsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)Excellent verbal and written communication skillsBackground and technical strength in one or more of the following is A+ (cut & sew, thermoform, injection molding, etc.)
