Process / Mechanical Engineer

ThermoCeramix is seeking an exceptional process/mechanical engineer to join our team. This individualwill be working with a talented group of engineers and researchers in thedevelopment of revolutionary electric heating products and applications. Ourprojects include a vast array of consumer and industrial

applications.Because we are a start-up, our engineers are involved in the up-front R&Dprocess through full product development and commercialization.

 

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Working atThermoCeramix requires a balance of creative and analytical skills. Since thisis a new technology, optimizing process parameters for large-scale volume productionis a strong focus and will therefore be the primary responsibility of thisengineer. This candidate will determine the operations required to produceproducts and components that incorporate an innovative electric heatingtechnology. He/she will determine quality, cost and efficiency requirements. Inaddition, this engineer will be responsible for mapping and implementingtechnical transfer processes and plant start-up activities. Finally, troubleshootingproblems with production, taking corrective action, researching the purchase ofequipment and upgrading existing equipment are included in this role as well.

 

Thiscandidate will be skilled at analyzing, planning and will have been successfulworking on project teams and have a willingness to travel to customer andmanufacturing sites when needed.

 

Core Duties & Responsibilities Determine operations to produce heater components for consumer products, residential products and industrial process applications Optimize process parameters using statistical design techniques Document process parameters, manufacturing know-how, transfer process, etc. Lead/participate in technology transfer Develop and implement manufacturing process control systems

 

 

Required Skills BS/MS in Process Mechanical Engineering 5 to 10 years of relevant process development experience Proven skills in transfer and start-up activities from within a Development Engineering group Experience collaborating with research engineers Ability to plan projects and execute various activities concurrently within project timelines with minimal supervision Familiarity with statistical design techniques and software Enjoy working in a start-up company environment
