Postdoctoral Fellow - Oncology

MedImmune the global biologics unit of AstraZeneca is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow to join the cancer/stem cell platform to lead an independent project aimed at the characterization of modulators of stem cell self-renewal signaling pathways. The candidate will utilize state-of-the art technologies to validate targets in these pathways for oncology therapeutic purposes particularly their relevance as cancer stem cell and/or drug resistance therapeutics. He/She will also be involved in the identification of new players in these pathways using various approaches including genomics proteomics and chemical biology. Prior experience with developmental pathway signaling and familiarity with primary tissue handling FACS analysis and in vivo cancer models is highly desirable. Candidates must have excellent communication skills and publication records and must be able to work in a highly collaborative environment. Candidates must have advanced at least one research project as evidenced by a first author paper published or accepted for publication.
