Polarized Light Microscopy (PLM) Analyst/ Environmental Analyst/ Geologist

EMSL Analytical, Inc. is looking for a Full Time PLM Analyst for its Denver, CO location.

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:


Preparation and analysis of bulk and solid materials for asbestos content using PLM and PCM
Determination of visual percentage and optical properties of asbestos and non asbestos material

Assist with clerical and lab duties as needed, such as data entry, sample review, and maintenance and calibration of laboratory instrumentation/equipment
Perform QA/QC practices per company QA/QC manual

 

Requirements:

HS Degree

Associates or BS in a Life Science: Environmental Science, Biology, or Geology is preferred
1-2 years of asbestos PLM experience is preferred but not required - Will Train

Must have some lab experience either academic or commercial
Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment
Must have good communication skills
Must be willing and able to travel and work some weekends and/or overtime to meet business demands



 

Hours: M-F 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM must be able to work some overtime or weekends if necessary to meet business demands.
