Job Description:A local growing company is seeking a Planner Scheduler.The Planner/Scheduler Lead is responsible for providing planning and scheduling of all non-emergency maintenance activities. This position will liaise with the maintenance teams and customers to ensure required resources are identified, planned, estimated, organized and scheduled prior to execution for efficient utilization of the maintenance resources. This position will need to work closely with other functions in the Global Operations business to support business goals. In addition, this individual will have responsibility to ensure applicable business information/work order data is stored and maintained to support business decisions when needed.Primary Duties: Work Planning Reviews work requests. Determines activities required for completion of a work order (WO). Visits job sites for work order clarification. Confers/communicates with work order requesters. Estimates the labor resources required for completion of a WO. Estimates and reviews work order bill of material needs for craft person(s). Works w/ RMEs to determine required routine spares and critical spares. Determines and initiates purchase requisitions for non-stock material/spares required to complete a WO. Determines external resource(s) required (e.g. external service providers, scaffolding, specialist advice/support, etc.) and works with contract maintenance administrator for the completion of a WO. Determines and arranges any operational safety requirements for the completion of a WO (e.g. Lock Out Tag Out additional safety equipment, external support, method statements, risk assessments, fire watch, etc). Ensures appropriate technical information available for the execution and follow through of inspections and tests. Determines and arranges for any special tools or test equipment required to complete to the work. Follows site standards, SOPs and other appropriate procedures to carry out all tasks in work planning detailed above. Coordinates with appropriate personnel in ensuring the best solutions when planning and procuring equipment and resources for the completion of a WO. Ensures all resources are available before the work order is scheduled. Prefer some one who worked in the planning department of a Refinery, steel mill, ship yard, or at a depot level repair facility doing mechanical planning.
