Thank you for your interest!General ResponsibilitiesActs as principal client contact by managing the operations for a less complex service area or smaller multiple service areas with modest revenue generation. Incumbent usually manages single customer account of $1m plus revenues in a year. Interacts with specific customer contact to manage relationship. Works to meet quality and productivity targets outlined in contract. Has Profit and Loss (P&L) responsibility for account with goals to meet revenue and profit targets.Representative Principal Duties and ResponsibilitiesIncumbent directs and manages the daily payroll operations (on and off shore) and payroll tax staff engaged specifically in the area of federal Multi-state and local payroll tax calculations, preparations and related payroll tax issues. Oversees the review of all payroll tax records for the functional area (s). Incumbent will be a seasoned professional who applies comprehensive, in-depth knowledge of policies, concepts and practices to the supervision of a major human resources staff function. Reviews and resolves issues affecting Company compliance, legal requirements and customer/Company objectives. Provides interpretation of data and advice to management. Responsibilities include selecting, training, developing, and disciplining staff members. This senior level, management position requires comprehensive technical, communications and management skills and extensive experience in payroll functions—in particular multi-state payroll concepts and practices. Incumbent serves as a primary contact for problem resolution and information gathering daily work assignments. Incumbent possesses and applies comprehensive knowledge of Company policies and procedures to difficult departmental assignments. Tasks are of an advanced non-routine nature. Works under limited supervision and has functional responsibility for one or more specific areas, projects, contracts or divisions. Errors cause substantial delay, expense, and/or disruption. Incumbent will actively analyze workflow and assignments to ensure operations run efficiently. Incumbent will direct and manage vendor relationships, including contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.EDUCATIONBachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent experience.5+ years of progressively responsible related experience in payroll administration, payroll tax accounting.Minimum of 4 years experience in successful task lead or supervisory role.Detail orientation and good organizational skills.Demonstrated interpersonal/communication skills.Strong customer service orientation.Maturity of judgment under pressure/ability to resolve problems without delay and/or to see magerial intervention.Tact and good (clear) verbal communication skills to facilitate production/resolve problems. Flexibility and the ability to operate under stressful, time-sensitive deadlines.
