Payroll Project Manager
Position Summary: The Payroll Product Manager is responsible for the payroll product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle including: gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with internal departments to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Define the product strategy and roadmap Work with external third parties to assess partnerships and licensing opportunities Run beta and pilot programs with early-stage products Be an expert with respect to the competitionSpecify market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by on-going visits to customers and non-customersAnalyzing potential partner relationships for the product
Required experience and knowledge:
1) Minimum of 3 years experience as a Product Manager
2) Demonstrated success defining and launching excellent products
3) Excellent written and verbal communication skills
4) Bachelor’s degree
5) Technical background, with experience in payroll
6) Proven ability to influence cross functional teams without formal authority
7) Must be able to travel 25% of the time
Compentencies:Knowledge: In depth knowledge and understanding of payroll processing a plus. Position utilizes knowledge typically associated with a four-year degree or a combination of formal training and relevant work experience.
Skills/Aptitudes: Ability to meet tight deadlines and ensure accuracy with highly confidential materials. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills; solid computer skills, high level of problem-solving skills.
· Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
· Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.
· Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
· Computer Skills PowerPoint, Outlook email, Word & Excel, Payroll Software.
Level: Works under limited supervision and has latitude to determine approach or methodology; work has a moderate amount of variability; encounters problems that require analysis of several factors to solve.

Working Conditions:
Work is performed in normal office environment.
