Parts Specialist -Tweeter Service Center
Tweeter, a consumer electronics retail and custom installation company, is seeking a Parts Specialist for the regional service center in the new Norristown location.
ROLE
Facilitates daily Service operations by receiving, inventorying, and distributing parts from vendors to technicians or to proper stock location. Conserves inventory dollars by promptly returning damaged, defective, unused, and core-charge parts to vendors for credit. Minimizes parts costs to the regional service center by recording all core charge activity in tracking system, and forwarding to Accounting all daily receiving records, invoices, and documentation to support credits due.
*Supports Service Operations by receiving in ordered parts on a daily basis and distributing parts to proper locations for stock inventory, technician use, or customer order fulfillment.
*Maintains accuracy of parts inventory, revenue, and cost accounting by processing parts receiving information into Tyler, updating service workorders as appropriate, and forwarding required parts documentation to Accounting on a daily basis.
*Minimizes cost of core charges to Regional Service Center by recording all core charge activity into tracking system, driving the return of all core charge parts in a timely manner, and processing core returns to vendors for credit.
*Minimizes overall cost of service parts to the Regional Service Center by returning incorrect, unused, defective, and damaged parts for credit on a daily basis, and processing credit-related documentation to Accounting.
*Maintains the integrity of the parts inventory by conducting the annual parts physical inventory as directed, and resolving deviation issues as appropriate.
*Maintains smooth service operations by assisting technicians and warranty administrators with parts-related discrepancies (incorrect pricing, incorrect numbering, incorrect quantity, poor quality, poor packaging). Contacts appropriate vendor to determine proper resolution.
REQUIREMENTS

- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Willingness to work overtime when needed
- Computer savvy
- will use MS Outlook and Tyler system
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
High School/GED diploma required
