PRESIDENT, ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
Brockton 21'st Century Corporation, the lead agency for Economic Development in the City of Brockton, MA is accepting applications for President/CEO. This person is responsible for developing and administering programs that encourage economic and community development in the City. Specific responsibilities include directing the strategic plan, creating goals and objectives, leading a group of economic and community development professionals and ensuring the successful execution of agency plans and projects. As the Chief Executive Officer of economic development in the City, you will successfully market the City of Brockton to industry and developers, develop and execute planning activities and maximize community and economic development using State and Federal Funding.
With the recent re-organization of Economic Development Agencies in the City of Brockton, we are positioned to drive development and investment in the City. With a strong Board and supportive Mayor and City Council, we expect strong results from our new and more focused agency. Funding for the Brockton 21'st Century Corporation is stable and includes CDBG, HOME, City of Brockton and private sources.
Salary Range: $100,000 plus.
Minimum requirements: Bachelor's degree. Minimum 10 years experience in economic and community development or relative business management including strong leadership, financial responsibility and results oriented operations. Ideal candidate should have a successful track record and the ability to create a strong team and produce results. A working knowledge of local, state and federal economic and community development agencies and activities or a Masters degree in related fields such as Urban Planning, Public Administration, etc are a plus.
