JOB FUNCTION: Provide Wealth Management consultation and delivery of Private Client Group (PCG) products and services, including: estate transfer and tax minimization tools, investment planning, retirement planning, asset allocation, and related insurance, securities, personal trust and institutional trust products. Develops and executes sales plan to meet annual new business income projections. The annual sales goal for this position will vary from year to year, but should average between $150,000 and $400,000 in fee income. REGULAR DUTIES: Assist clients in meeting their financial goals through personalized, in-depth consultation, recommendations, and sales of appropriate asset allocation and investment strategies based on anticipated needs-to-risk tolerance; Securing new fee income production in excess of individual goals by successfully positioning appropriate PCG services, strategies and/or products; Develop and maintain working relationships with commercial, business banking, retail and other staff in order to develop appropriate leads and referral sources. Cross-refer sales opportunities to other lines of business; Utilize sales skills to develop new business in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, bank policies and procedures; Using Client Contact, maintain a pipeline of sales opportunities, including call report documentation, reasonable estimates and projections relating to revenue and sale closing probabilities; Prepare presentations and proposals for new business opportunities that are professional and of the highest quality; Supervises all aspects of handling the customer account, including: proper account documentation, money and securities transfers and verifying the accuracy of the statements; Verify and monitor clients' financial condition on a continual basis; Participate in seminars, conferences, trade shows and other bank or non-bank sponsored events, as appropriate and/or required; Accept assets in a manner that complies with operational control procedures of Capital One Asset Management and Capital One's Trust Division. Review all assets to ensure compliance with investment, administrative and operational policies and procedures; Participate in the Trust Curriculum Program and other continuing education such as personal research, training, joint calling, peer interaction and individual coaching sessions, as required, to consistently upgrade individual market knowledge and sales skills; Keep current on markets and securities of importance to clients. Continually review research materials and financial news for areas of opportunity and concern. Use current information, along with prior knowledge and experience to determine the most appropriate investments for each client; Review written agreements to ensure Capital One's responsibilities, authority and potential liabilities are in compliance within establlished policies and procedures; Cultivate and maintain good working relationshps with the community, industry, individuals and professional groups for new business, including: attorneys, certified public accountants, life underwriters and other professionals and individuals; Operate independently, when required, within his/her sales territory and/or specialty area; All other duties as requested by management.Job Experience:BASIC QUALIFICATIONS 8+ years of demonstrated success in sales and/or relationship management within a sales or financial institution environment. 8+ years in dealing with members of legal, accounting, insurance and/or investment advisory professions. 4 year college degree required College degree in Marketing/Finance or General Business is preferred. 8+ years with a recognized brokerage firm, trust company or bank Trust department. Series 7, Series 63 and Texas Life and Health Variable Annuity licenses REQUIRED SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE: State or Uniform Trust Code; OCC Regulations for Trust; Trust Indenture Act; Financial industry practices and activities; General working knowledge and experience in the following: Employee benefits trust and ERISA; Accounting and business law; Fiduciary tax laws; Overall banking regulations and procedures; Equity and fixed income investment management; Mutual funds and mutual fund evaluation services such as Morning Star Securities lending; SEC regulations; Municipal finance and applicable municipal bond tax laws. Working knowledge of the workings of pertinent securities markets and investment vehicles, along with the experience and perspective to know how they affect the proper management of client assets; Knowledge of PC based word processing and spreadsheet software.
