Outside Electrical Sales Consultant

In business since 1931, we have ten locations in Minnesota, Wisconsin and South Dakota to service our customers. Our goal is to provide our customers with exemplary service and quality Electrical, Plumbing,HVAC, and DataComm products.

We currently have an opening for an Electrical Outside Sales Consultant to join our team in Eau Claire, WI. This position is primarily responsible for covering all electrical sales functions in an assigned territory. Specific duties include:Develop new and current electrical customer accounts by marketing company product lines and offering value-added services and availability information to.Provide new and current customers with product information including pricing, delivery, inventory stocking, and/or backorder availability functionally equivalent cross matches and value added product information.Negotiate and establish sales quotes based on volume of products purchased and nature of marketplace to effectively offer competitive pricing and ensure the highest profitability. Under general guidelines, exercise independent judgment and responsibility of resale orders profitability. Evaluate problem accounts or orders. Work with appropriate personnel to develop strategies, tactics and contingency plans to obtain desired market share. Recommend deviations from standard policies and procedures such as pre-purchase approvals for payment terms, discounts and freight charges.

The successful candidate will have electrical industry and territory knowledge. Must have the ability to manage well-established existing customer relationships and prospect for future opportunities. College courses in sales, marketing or business administration preferred. Excellent communication skills, self-motivated, self-starter, personable, well organized.
