Outbound Quality Control Clerk
Position Summary
The Outbound Quality Control (QC) Clerk will be responsible for contributing to the overall success of this facility by assisting in reducing defects within the outbound team through researching, recording, and correcting quality issues related to outbound operations.This position requires a desire to work as part of a team in a highly active, fast paced Fulfillment Center dedicated to providing our customers with an exceptional direct-to-customer shopping experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Research, record and re-pick errors created by the pick team.
· Research, record and put away extra items left over from the packing process.
· Process damaged items, and items needing rework.
· Maintain spreadsheets containing pick error information by picker and by type of error.
· Maintain spreadsheets containing pack errors and “overages” by packer and by type.
· Maintain spreadsheets containing performance data for both the pick and pack teams.
· Monitor carrier sort errors.
· Performing quality audits on outbound operations.
· Assist in finding solutions to reduce defects in the outbound operations.
· Monitoring and ensuring shipped orders are cycled off the dock according to FIFO and SLA standards and tendered to the appropriate carrier.
QUALIFICATIONS
· High School diploma or its equivalent required, some college preferred
· 1-2 years warehouse/distribution experience in a related field
· Strong attention to quality and detail
· Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook; strong data entry skills
· Ability to identify problems and develop solutions regarding quality of products
· Ability to communicate with both external and internal clients. Good interpersonal skills
· Proficient in use of software systems, spreadsheets, warehouse management systems and manifesting systems dealing with order processing and shipping desired
· Experience in a multiple carrier environment including USPS, LTL and small parcel shipping desired
· Background in shipping or inventory control desired.
· Experience in a mail order catalog or direct to consumer fulfillment operation highly desired
· Must be high energy individual with strong organizational skills and strong interpersonal skills
