Occupational Health Nurse - 2nd Shift

Provide medical, health and safety services to all Wrigley Gainesville employees. Develop, implement and maintain all health and wellness service programs, procedures and systems. Responsibilities 1. Responsible for immediate treatment of employees due to illness and injury as well as administration of medication when necessary. 2. Following an injury, the position holder oversees the completion of the Accident Report to ensure timely and accurate filing and follow up in regards to all accidents and injuries. 3. Compile and maintain OSHA Log. 4. Maintain contact with Company's Worker's Compensation carrier (Sentry Insurance) for all work accidents to serve as a main contact between employee and insurance carrier. Work with carrier to reduce costs through analysis of medical claims and coding identification. 5. Maintain constant interaction with STD/LTD insurance carrier (Prudential Insurance) and employee in order to manage disability, light duty and return to work status. 6. Coordinate a variety of training and testing including CPR/First Aid, Annual Hearing, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), respirator and accident reporting. 7. Coordinate post-offer physicals. 8. Maintain and order sufficient quantities of medical supplies for the Health Services Department. 9. Maintain employee medical records and files. 10. Perform periodic plant assessments and inform PLD and Operations of any medical concerns that affect factory operations. 11. Develop health programs to meet OSHA standards. Recommend and administer Employee Health and Wellness programs to promote a healthy workforce. Work in conjunction with company doctors. 12. Develop and facilitate ergonomics and blood born pathogen programs and training. 13. Facilitate annual voluntary employee vaccinations program in order to reduce sickness and infection. 1. Must possess a valid Registered Nursing License (State of GA) and three plus (3+) years of Occupational Nursing experience. The professional we seek must be willing to work on the second shift. 2. Certification as an Occupational Health Nurse. 3. Must be well versed in State Compensation Law, Company Benefits under Short & Long Term Disability, and Light Duty Guidelines. 4. The position holder must be business savvy to interact closely with the insurance carriers (Prudential and/or Sentry Insurance), the Corporate Occupational Health Manager and the associates. 5. Must be certified in First Aid/CPR in order to conduct training and/or implement training sessions in such subject, as well as possess strong organizational skills to develop and implement Voluntary Wellness Programs. 6.
