Job Description Job Description:The successful candidate will be responsible for building, maintaining, evolving and operating our 24x7 production data center as well as all other data centers (development/staging environment and all aspect of information security) and will provide backup technical resources to the company as needed. This position requires being on call on a rotational basis.The Network Engineer will lead the network operations effort for production, staging, development, and corporate environments through cooperation with the Web Operation Manager. Responsibilities will include selecting, installing and maintaining patches, applications, backup and all other aspects of network administration for primarily Windows based environments and making sure that all environments are up to date and running according to expected standards of performance and information security including computer, physical and intellectual property. Specific Responsibilities: Install, configure and monitor network setup such as router, firewall, and load balancers Monitor log files, network traffic and access logs to detect and remediate any performance or security issues Intrusion detection (host and network): set up, monitor and prosecute offenders Configure and monitor backup hardware and services in production, QA and development environments Keep all environments up to date with release patches and updates Work with existing IT department as needed in performance of duties Acquire and install hardware as needed, including servers, networking and appliances Help derive budgets for estimating and projecting operational, development and QA requirements Develop, document and implement policies and procedures Qualifications: 3 years without interruption as a Network Engineer 3 years experience with networking hardware and software installation and configuration with a strong emphasis on performance and security.
