As National Accounts advocates they champion new, and existing, business initiatives with Regional NARMS, Regional Vice Presidents and Profit Centers, while managing and expanding relationships with both brokers and clients. This position works very closely with the Senior Vice President of National Accounts in executing National Account strategies across the regions..Roles & ResponsibilitiesClient & Broker Relationships • Serve as the main contact for their assigned national accounts and manage both the account and broker to deepen the relationship to maintain the existing relationship and identify opportunities to expand the relationship across all of AIG. • Create strategies to identify opportunities for new business with not only the global brokers but also any regional broker that manages national account business.• Report and resolve client issues and concerns as requested by client/broker or profit center.• Promote and educate existing clients and brokers on new AIG products and risk management alternatives.New Business • Drive and execute growth initiatives to target highly desirable clients that match the appetite of each Profit Center and their related divisions. • Champion and navigate new business opportunities, both proactively and on behalf of a Regional growth strategy.• Identify cross-selling opportunities to deepen account penetration, including hosting regular cross-selling meetings with mandatory Profit Center participation. • Develop relationships with “orphan� accounts to provide opportunities and create introductions to divisions resulting in increased business. Retention • Develop and coordinate retention strategies with Profit Center and regional management, and communicate marketplace intelligence.National Account Segment Oversight & Reporting • Deliver monthly report with assistance of the financial analyst to the Regional Vice-President and Sales and Marketing Home Office. • Organize and prioritize National Account regional events; serve as National Account client contact coordinator for all Profit Centers. • Maintain and update current data and gather intelligence utilizing designated systems such as the National Account Database and SalesForce.com. • Lead National Account segment meetings within the region.Key Skills & Attributes• Excellent sales aptitude and territorial knowledge• Well developed account relationship management skills• Strong leadership and motivational skills • Prioritization capabilities • Knowledge of the insurance industry, underwriting principles, brokerage and/or risk management• Goal oriented and deadline conscious About AIG: American International Group, Inc.
