Multimedia Preparation Technician

 

    Position Summary

A Multimedia Preparation Technician is a problem-solver who interfaces between our graphics staff, our onsite Courtroom Technology Consultants, and clients ensuring that all multimedia presentations function smoothly. Possesses great communication skills, can coordinate projects, knows hardware, multimedia equipment, and has an excellent ability to troubleshoot in high pressure situations. Must have exceptional project management skills and experience. Must be able to make last minute changes in PowerPoint, work with court system, Graphics Consultants, Graphics Studio, and trial team. Marketing and technology demonstration responsibilities.

 

Job Qualifications

This individual should have work experience in the following areas: live electronic presentations, audio / visual systems setup and trouble shooting, IT support, and video editing.

Other requirements include:Excellent interpersonal skills, trouble shooting, and marketing presentations.Ability to understand client problems and generate solutions using technology.Good communications ability and language skills (writing, public speaking).Strong computer skills and ability to learn and demonstrate new programs and hardware.Ability to adapt quickly to meet changing requirements.Certified Vocational Education or Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Audio Engineering, Video Production, or any related field.Two (2) years experience as a Trial Technician, Multimedia Technician, Technology Project Manager, Litigation Support, Information Technology Support, Technical Staff Supervisor, or any related field.

Job Relationships (Internal/External)Has frequent communication with clients in which service skill, problem solving ability, sense of urgency, and follow-up communication are critical. Must have the ability to interact with senior client personnel and meet and exceed client expectations.Has frequent communication with co-workers and supervisor concerning project assignments, project status, and client issues.

 

Job Duties  Setting-up and maintaining audio-visual multimedia systems for marketing and courtroom presentations.Operating presentation systems for our clients.Overseeing large-volume document scanning projects.Maintaining and developing relationships with outside (technology) vendors.Overseeing video production projects.Networking support and trouble shootingResponsible for keeping all office Windows computers running properly.Procurement of technology services, products, and systems.Site surveys of legal venues and presentation venues for multimedia systems installations.Overseeing multimedia system installations.

 

Working ConditionsEmployee must be available to travel frequently, sometimes on short notice and flexible schedule.Employee must be available to work extended hours as dictated by our client’s trial dates and deadlines.Employee must have good credit and an available credit line for reimbursable company travel expenses.
