Microsoft Windows Server Technician

Winner Resources is currently interviewing candidates for 2 open MicroSoft Windows Server Technician positions.

 

The Scope of Work requires two (2) Microsoft Windows Server Technicians with the skills needed to perform the following tasks in an enterprise server environment:

 

·  architectural design

·  equipment setup

·  configuration

·  testing and tuning

·  support and maintenance

 

The skill set and experience required of the technicians is to perform the necessary tasks with only minimal support.

 

Mandatory and Preferred Requirements and Qualifications:

 

1. Five (5) years of technical server administrator experience in the last six (6) years.

 

2. Three (3) years experience in the last four (4) years, at an expert level with Windows 2003 Enterprise Server platform, Group Policy, Active Directory, and Microsoft Clustering.

 

3. Five (5) years experience of the hardware, software, and networking components necessary to design, build, support, and maintain Windows-based servers and operating systems.

 

4. Five (5) years experience in related/supporting technologies such as Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP), Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP), Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP), Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), Domain Name Service (DNS), Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), Proxy Servers, Load Balancing, and Redundant Array of Independent Disks (RAID).

 

5. Five (5) years experience in use or implementation of patch management tools and processes.

 

6. Two (2) years experience in the last three (3) years, with Active Directory experience including enterprise domain design, domain and forest migrations and trusts.

 

7. Five (5) years experience working with Windows servers on all layers of the Open System Interconnection (OSI) communications and computer network protocol design model.

 

8. Two (2) years experience in the last three (3) years, working with Storage Area Networks (SANs).

 

9. Five (5) years experience with virtualization technologies and tools including Virtual Machine Ware (VMWare) and Enterprise Server Version (ESX) of VMWare ESX Server.

 

10. Five (5) years experience with Dell rack and commodity servers.  (Experience with Unisys ES/7000 servers is desirable.)

 

11. Five (5) years experience installing server Host Bus Adaptor (HBA) and Network Interface Cards (NIC) cards and cabling fiber connections.

 

12. Two (2) years experience in the last three (3) years, with the following products:

 

a. Exchange 2007,

b. SharePoint 2007,

c. Structured Query Language (SQL) Server 200x,

d. BizTalk,

e. Terminal Services, and

f.  Oracle databases.

 

13. Five (5) years experience working with EMC2 storage platforms and tools:

 

a. Symmetrix,

b. Clariion,

c. Celerra,

d. Centera,

e. Networker, and

f.  Powerpath.

 

14. Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE) certification at Windows 2003 level or above.

 

15. Candidates must be available twenty four hours per day seven days week (24 x 7) for emergency calls.

 

This project requires the resource to collaborate with supporting resources across business and/or functional lines.  The resource is required to have good oral and written skills.  Additionally, the resource must have good organizational skills, proven analytical, planning, problem solving, and decision-making skills.  It is required that the resource is knowledgeable in the English language and speak clearly and understandably using the English language. 

 

During the interview process, the resource must demonstrate competence/experience in their specific area(s) of project assignment.  The resource’s experience must also be documented for review and verification.  Resources not showing technical or functional competency/experience will be rejected.
