Location Dodgeville, WI 53533 Status Full Time Job Category Other Career Level Experienced (Non-Manager) Merchant - Outerwear Lands' End, a leading international brand of classically inspired clothing and home products, is currently looking for a Merchant for our Outerwear division.Lands' End is a multi-channel retailer offering products through catalogs, internet, and in Sears stores. With over 40 years of experience, Lands' End is world renowned for superior customer service and is recognized as an innovator in the industry. Landsend.com is the world's largest apparel Web site (in business volume) and has repeatedly gained national recognition as a leader in the e-commerce world. As a Merchandise Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing your category through the product development process. Specific responsibilities include financial planning (demand, markup, ad ratio, and GMROI), top and bottom line profit and loss, development of new product, and evaluation of existing styles. You will have a strong knowledge of the Lands' End business, customer and the brand. Additionally, you will possess a solid understanding of the competition, translate marketplace trends to Lands' End and an 'eye for the product'. In this role you will be responsible for the strategic vision of the category, identifying key items or business drivers and presenting the business plan. You will work closely with Design, Creative, Sourcing/Technical Design and Inventory on a variety of things including: product content of each catalog, quality and fit of styles and customer fulfillment.QualificationsKey Responsibilities:1.Provide strategic business plan and vision 2.Provide leadership for the team and critical business partners3.Drive the business through key items and new product ideas4.Interpret trends in the marketplace, adapt for the category assortment and LE customer/brand5.Collaborate with Design, Sourcing, Creative and Inventory6.Prioritize and manage projects from concept to completion within time constraintsSkill Requirements:1.Ability to influence2.Strong collaborator3.Strong negotiating, organizational and analytical skills4.Highly motivated and flexible 5.Solid understanding of PC and business related applicationsSears is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
