Merchandising Director - Disposables

Position is responsible for identifying, procuring, coordinating and planning the distribution of products and services to Sysco customers through Sysco Operating Companies. Providing training, product information, regulatory guidance, and customer service in support of the distribution of products and services. Position scope includes, but is not limited to:*Developing, managing, and growing “NEW� product sales and profits.*Responsibility for negotiating and managing supplier programs and relationships*Developing and managing financial budgets for department*Preparing business/project plans and reports as required.*Conducting personnel and salary reviews as required.*Generating and/or reviewing communication to Operating Companies relative to new or revised programs and products.*Developing and/or supervising presentations to potential customers and Operating Companies as needed.*Participating in daily interaction with department personnel.*Assisting in the training and development of personnel to maximize productivity and future potential.*Developing and/or supervising development of promotions to increase sales.*Actively participating in the Merchandising Services Task Forces and Merchandising Services Staff Meetings.*Maintaining constant vigilance for new competitive products, equipment development, and programs.*Participating in reviewing of department programs/products with new SYSCO companies.*Reviewing point-of-sale materials, developing new pieces, funding point-of-sale materials, and helping Operating Companies use material properly.*Working with department managers in developing CMP’s and KRA’s and adding new items.*Assisting with customer presentations.*Keeping management informed of important items and problems.*Traveling as required.*Performing all other duties as assigned.Position Requirements:*Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. *Five years experience in paper and disposable products or related area. Negotiating and marketing experience.*Ability to use a personal computer and programs with such i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point*Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures.*Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures.*Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.*Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, commissions, percentages, volume, etc. SYSCO offers excellent benefits including PPO Insurance, 401k Plan, Stock Purchase Plan, Product Purchase Discounts, and much more!
