Mechanical Assemblers Needed!!!
Our client located in Big Lake, MN is seeking several qualified Mechanical Assemblers to work a project from September through December.
Must have previous experience working with Hydraulics and Pneumatics and assembly of very large products (Tractors, bobcats, airplanes, cars etc...)
Job Summary:
Set-up and machine precision parts, assemble machined parts and purchased parts to customer specifications and perform secondary operations as required with minimum supervision.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Plans or verifies operation to be performed and materials to be used, on each job as directed by
documentation or supervision.
2. Sets up all equipment with appropriate stops, clamps, fixture and tooling.
· Determines appropriate dimensions according to specifications and calculates proper feeds and speeds.
· Is capable of selecting proper tooling and mounting fixtures and parts.
Uses measuring devices and blueprints/engineering documents to inspect parts per print
specifications. Visually inspects surface for appearance and non-conformities.
· Communicates all non-conformities to the appropriate personnel.
Operates machines and produces parts; may work on more complex parts which require a working skill level and knowledge of various machining operations.
· Monitors run to ensure parts are being produced to specification.
· Evaluates and assists in improving the manufacturing process.
· Changes tools as needed.
4. Completes required documentation and reports at completion of the job.
5. Uses assembly prints and procedures to fit and assemble parts into complete assemblies.
6. Uses a wide variety of hand tools to perform secondary operations.
7. Participates effectively as a member of a team.
8. Provides guidance or training for others as required, provides input into resolution of machining and assembly problems.
9. Regular attendance and on-time arrival to work is required.
10. Maintains a safe and clean work area.
