MARKETING MANAGER

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

Create and execute programs that are aligned to identified value propositions and support sales objectives of the organization while increasing the % of calibration/product (dual) customers.

 

Develop and implement an ongoing calibration lead program that will drive new customer acquisition and incremental calibration sales.

 

Analyze, recommend and implement Transcat’s calibration pricing strategy by discipline and subgroup.

 

Competitive research

· information gathering

· matrix maintenance

· price research

· Analysis

 

Writing marketing messages for e-mails, direct mail, web landing pages, newsletters, and other marcom media

 

Development and execution of promotional campaigns – direct mail, e-mail, telephone

 

Conceive and write press releases for trade publications and events

· Compile distribution target data

· Develop and execute distribution plans

 

Data analysis and recommendations:

· Sales trends

· Web metrics

· Pricing

· Lead reporting

 

Needs analysis and collaboration with sales team & management for Collateral management, concept development and execution

· gather and document requirements

· concept development

· copywriting

· manage inventory

· project management for new collateral

· track distribution data

 

Research for new lead development

 

Survey strategy development, content creation and management

· internet and email surveys

Operational support for sales

 Job Requirements: Bachelor's Degree required; Business/Marketing degree preferred. At least 6 years of tactical marketing role for Business to Business Technology required Written Communication - Excellent written and oral skills – must be capable of professional level copywriting for marketing and customer communications. Technical Skills –gathers technical data, understands the relevance of the data and articulates the relevance of the data as it pertains to a given situation. Analytical – Gathers and analyzes complex and diverse information and provides meaningful interpretation / implications of the analysis.Aptitude for technology – learning and comprehending concepts and practicesKnowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems.Business process design, development and executionExperience in technical sales is a strong plus. Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services.   Must thrive in a high performance environment. Must have the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  Candidate must be computer literate. Microsoft Office– Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint and Word experience.
