Marketing Analyst

JOB PURPOSE

Under general supervision of the Director of Marketing, the Marketing Analyst will assist in the execution of Marketing’s day-to-day activities. Specifically, the position will involve executing analysis and reporting for National Account customers, sales growth initiatives and planning, and general marketing studies designed to evaluate profitable sales growth.  Other related duties may be assigned.

§ Support sales effort of National Account Teams and Business Development Managers in Field.

 

§ Provide Regional support as necessary.

 

§ Provide analytical support to national account teams including-  Internal analysis - External analysis 

-sales trends -market sizing

-margin trend -market trends

-profitability drivers  -competitor analysis

 

§ Be completely trained in graphics formats and styles set by company.

 

§ Provide graphics, specifically PowerPoint, support to teams for customer presentation and significant internal team meetings.

§ Support and drive creation of necessary reporting and communication material for specific initiatives, meetings or events.

§ Provide preliminary analysis of the data gathered from system

 

§ Become completely adept at graphics and graphically displaying numerical information

 

§ Create, edit and drive to production material necessary to support customer reporting requirements.

§ Support SVP of Downstream Sales with financial modeling.§ Develop financial models related to customer specific contracts to assist with negotiations and account planning.

Other Duties/Responsibilities

  Support ad hoc activities of Marketing Department.

  Conduct basic administrative tasks to support marketing efforts.

 

 

 SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES

 

· Experience with Microsoft Access, Excel, Power Point and Word a must.

· Strong background in analytics as demonstrated by coursework, test scores or previous experience.

· Knowledge of accounting, finance or other business analytics a must.

· Highly motivated individual looking for a career development opportunity.

· Strong time management and organizational skills to handle and prioritize multiple tasks.

· Strong writing, and business English skills.

· Ability to establish excellent rapport with upper management, corporate employees, branch employees, vendors, and customers using written correspondence, proper phone etiquette, and other effective interpersonal skills.

· Ability to contribute to the quality process by learning new procedures and functions within the department as needed.

· Ability to maintain confidential information.

· Ability to work scheduled and unscheduled overtime.
