Manager of Accounting

Our organization has an immediate opening for an experienced Manager of Accounting.  This position will be responsible for supporting the Controller in all aspects of financial reporting and general ledger management.  This is a high profile position within the company and offers excellent visibility, with opportunities for advancement.

Primary Areas of Responsibility:Establish and maintain an effective general ledger systemManage the period-end closing processPrepare timely, accurate and effective financial reportsProvide meaningful financial analysesProactively identify and resolve accounting issuesImplement and manage process efficiencies, including the automation of tasksHire, train and mentor a team of staff accountants

Qualifications:BA/BS in AccountingMinimum 5 years experience, preferably in a multi-site environmentAudit experience helpfulExtensive experience in the preparation of financial statementsExperience in the preparation of audit schedules/supportProven ability to document procedures/processes/transactionsDemonstrated leadership ability
