Mainframe Developer
We are currently searching for a Systems Analyst for a global Fortune 500 company in St. Louis. The Systems Analyst will function is a technical professional position within Information Systems group. This position develops and implements technology (software and/or hardware infrastructure) in support of business objectives. The position reports to Information Systems manager and is part of a team responsible for a specialized technology area (examples include: manufacturing systems, network management, help desk, etc.).
This position will gather requirements, implement, and support systems that are used in areas of product testing, analysis, quality, and product reporting; systems currently include ABI SQL*LIMS, Oracle Clinical, Agile, TotalChrom, EZSubs and others. Monitor applications for performance, availability, throughput, and application workflow. Implement application and system upgrades; manage new system software and hardware implementations. Support documentation processes for System Development Life Cycle, Sand Sarbanes Oxley requirements.
The ideal candidate for this position will have a Bachelors degree in I/T field (computer science, information systems, etc.) or Business related. Experience: 5+ years as an I/T professional in this role or related roles with extensive working experience with the technologies and business processes supported.
1) Must have solid technical experience with Oracle including Oracle Forms and Oracle Reports. Experience preferred with distributed multi-tier client-server applications running on Oracle and SQL databases with UNIX, Windows OS, VMWare and SAN environments.
2) Programming skills of Oracle Developer, VB, Visual Interdev, ASP, Visual Studio, PL/SQL, C#, and Microsoft .NET platforms.
3) Knowledge of SQL Reporting Solutions, Business Objects, Toad, and Oracle Reporting tools.
4) General understanding and functional knowledge in product development, quality assurance, medical and regulatory compliance, product monitoring, and quality control testing.
General Skills/Competencies:
Technical proficiency - has extensive working experience with required technologies and can handle advanced, complex tasks; typically has over 3 years experience with required technologies.
Analytical abilities has advanced problem-solving skills including very difficult and time-sensitive problems where erroneous decisions could have a significant adverse impact daily operations
Project management Can manage intermediate projects effectively requiring coordination with users & IT personnel across multiple teams.
