Linux Systems Engineer

Linux Systems Engineer OSG Global seeks a Linux System Engineer with strong experience in a Novell Netware environment.  We are looking for someone with extensive experience in multi-site installation, configuration, repair and administration of Linux Server based infrastructure.  The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with excellent technical leadership skills. You will join a network support team to install, deploy, and manage the company’s server technology in a rapidly expanding enterprise environment. Previous experience in an enterprise environment is a must.  Certified Linux Professional or Certified Linux Engineer designation is a plus. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:l  Serve as subject matter expert with regards to all server based installations, configuration and administration.l  Demonstrate proven success designing a distributed, fault tolerant server infrastructure.l  Respond to server and infrastructure support calls during business hours, carry pager for off hours emergencies.l  Troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis for higher level application problems, server issues, and systems outagesl  Demonstrate proven success in maintaining/deploying Linux and Windows servers and associated technologies.l  Must be proficient in Visio and must be able to read/update network diagrams.l  Identify, and perform server hardware upgrades.
