Linehaul/Transportation Specialist III

Overview: This position is responsible for managing the linehaul budget, and directing and implementing a plan for the movement of trailers between hub and satellite operations to achieve maximum service and incur minimum cost for both the U.S. and Canadian operation.


Position Information:

Position is responsible for daily management of FXG and Smartpost Linehaul Network to include: management of partial and empty movements and management of Mainline, Smartpost and Hub Area linehaul cost per package. Daily participation of transportation management process, which includes analyzing previous day's data for improved, future decision making.

 

**Candidate must be open to future field relocation.

Qualifications:

Education:


Mandatory Requirement - Bachelors degree
Considered equivalent related experience - 8+ years of operations experience, preferred 5 years linehaul experience


Experience:


Minimum years of experience in the following areas:
Candidate must have 5+ years general operations experience in transportation environment. Preferred 2-3 years linehaul experience.


Work Related Skills:


Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and excellent computer and interpersonal skills. Must be a team player in an environment of continuous change.
