Lead Product Researcher

Job Description:Position SummaryResponsible for the maintenance, execution, communication and implementation implications of a research agenda intended to improve Personal Lines product performance. Product performance includes, but not limited to, (commissions, fees, retention), maintenance rules and operational processes.Primary Responsibilities: Researches and analyzes company financial statements, industry, regulatory and economic data. Reviews current government legislation, financial periodicals, news articles etc. that relate to market trends. Reviews and interprets data concerning stock quotes, pricing, yield, stability and futures trends. Summarizes various data points relative to long and short term investment trends and risk levels as they relate to economic influences pertinent to investments. Prepares reports for senior management relative to charts, graphs illustrating trends, future payoffs and possible risk related to investment opportunities. Provides investment recommendations relative to timing and buy/sell orders to AAM Portfolio Managers. Maintains various graphs and spreadsheets detailing financial performance of investment options. Conducts methods testing. Assists in design, execution, analysis and communication of annual product model validation exercises whereby model definitions and factor sets are validated/enhanced/changed. These exercises will apply to all products/lines of business in Personal Lines. Assist the organization in analyzing areas of migration where product has been deployed as prioritized. Actively participate in implementation process with regard to research work product in concert with other members of the PL Product organization, HTG, State Management, PL Operations. Evaluate competitor information, test competitor methods and communicate learning to the PL Organization.Requirements: BS/BA in Finance, Economics, Insurance, Math, Statistics. Experience working in a research capacity for a Property and Casualty company. Experience and expertise working with Pivot Tables, Excel spreadsheets, various software reporting packages. Strong analytical/math skill set competency/proficiency of advanced analytical methods.
