Initiates design, planning, coding, testing, and delivery of required functional and technical specifications and designs in order to meet business requirements and departmental standards. . Leads clients to identify requirements (e.g., data, information needs, processing, specific output, functional and development of test data), and determines their desired outcomes in order to formulate the design of the system and/or offer alternative solutions in a timely manner. . Analyzes, designs, and documents information to create the applicable statement of work and the associated deliverables. . Responsible for complex corporate initiatives and special projects as appropriate. . Provides technical guidance to less experienced staff during implementation. . Mentors new or junior staff members on business knowledge, system peculiarities, and complex technical issues. . Acts a team lead as necessary and appropriate. . Develops and maintains technical knowledge through training, classes, research, etc. This position is also subject to being "on call" for emergency situations requiring immediate resolution. Required Qualifications: This position requires a BA/BS in computer science with 7-10 years of experience, or total equivalent experience in leading and executing complex: . Functional and technical (SQR programming experience) supporting Peoplesoft HRMS / Payroll / ELM applications (versions 8.X or higher) and PeopleTools 8.1x or higher. . Must have developed test scripts and test cases related to custom code development. This includes all functional and technical design documentation related to the software modifications. . Experience using Unix Shell Scripts, Unix Server to NT messaging. . Experience working with PeopleCode., PeopleSoft configuration tables, permission lists, profiles, security, calendar setup and custom calendars. . Recent experience setting up and working with PeopleSoft on and off cycle process calendars. . Experience using PeopleSoft application engine scripts, scroll functionality, design panels and application messaging. This includes working with PeopleSoft Query, Data Mover and Import Manager functions. . Experience writing multiple and complex reports using PeopleSoft reporting utilities. . 5-7 years in SQL proficiency Must have advanced programming skills in all of the following PeopleSoft HRMS / Payroll / ELM / PeopleTools modules. This position will require strong development and analytical (i.e. requirements gathering, system analysis, logical/physical design) skills. Good organizational and documentation skills. Superior written and verbal communication skills and the ability to present technical terminology to internal clients of all levels and some external vendors will be extremely helpful in moving any and all projects forward.
