Job Category:  IT/Software Development Reference Code:  US_EN_1_025290_7614456 Location:  Newark, NJ 07102 Job Status:  Full Time, Employee Job Description:Lead Sr. Consultant (Business Intelligence)Responsibilities: Provide Business Intelligence thought-leadership and guidance to the organization around leveraging its information assets to improve analytics, decision-making and overall business performance. Lead the development, specification and communication of the COMPANY'S Data Management and Business Intelligence architecture plan and the infrastructure components required to support it. Provide leadership and management to projects undertaken by the Data Management/Business Intelligence area. Provide expertise and architectural leadership in the areas of Data Governance, Master Data Management, Analytics, Data Warehousing, Scorecards, Dashboards, Business Performance Monitoring and Data Mining for tools like SAP Netweaver, SAP Strategy Management, CPM, Erwin, Informatica and Business Objects. Guide and train team members on the new technological and architectural trends in the BI area. Consult and support IT and client management in the development of tactical Data Management and Business Intelligence plans. Recommend appropriate initiatives, enhancements and development opportunities that can be utilized to meet business area objectives and drive business growth. Conduct technical and architectural studies and evaluations of business area requirements and recommends to client and IT management appropriate technological alternatives. Evaluate new technological developments and evolving business requirements including Predictive analytics, data driven discovery (hidden patterns) and what-if analysis and provides for transformation of disparate data into business insights and actionable information. Advise on systems scalability and rapid deployment of solutions. Support implementation of the strategy and plans for enhancing and increasing the utilization of BI and Data Management platforms. Direct and manage the work of technical resources, consultants and vendors. Responsibilities include RFP, SOW evaluation, proposal preparation, tool selection, target architecture design per client requirements, lead teams for solution implementation. Maintain and apply working knowledge of COMPANY standards for Business Controls and meet management's expectations for effective internal business controls. Required: Bachelor/Master degree in Computer Science or a related discipline with at least five, typically seven or more years experience in systems architecture methodologies, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. Extensive knowledge and 5+ years of working experience in Business Intelligence tools and trends, Data Governance, Scorecard and Dashboard, Analytics and Data Warehousing, Master Data Management, Knowledge Management. 3+ years experience in SAP Netweaver including BI and Strategy Management/SEM and Pilotworks. Excellent consultative, communication and management skills, strong analytical ability and the ability to work effectively with client and IT management and staff. Strong planning and organizational skills; Knowledge of project management, finance, and accounting processes, process dependencies and linkages across Enterprise. Strong oral, written and presentation communications skills. Ability to develop solid business cases and persuade/influence IT and Business Management. Strong leadership skills, ability to champion new ideas, change agent. Solid track record of developing solid relationships with internal clients and vendors external to PSEG. Excellent interpersonal skills, including teamwork, collaboration, facilitation, and negotiation. Strong Experience with Data Modeling, Warehousing, Relational Database. Desired: Advanced degrees in Computer Science or Masters of Business Administration. Project Management PMP Certification or other professional certifications. Certification in Netweaver / BI. Experience with other BI Tools like Actuate, Business Objects, Informatica. Experience with Portal tools like SAP Portal, Web Application Designer, Visual Composer, Web Content Design. ECM, Archival and Records Retention experience a plus. SAP ABAP programming skills.
