TYPE OF COMPANY:  CREATES, MARKETS & IMPLEMENTS COMMERCIAL ENTERPRISE SOFTWARE SOLUTIONS AND BUSINESS CONSULTING SERVICES

LOCATION: BOSTON / WALTHAM, MA AREA (IN THIS POSITION, YOU MAY WORK FROM HOME. HOWEVER, YOU MUST BE WITHIN A REASONABLE COMMUTE FROM THE BOSTON/WALTHAM AREA, SINCE YOU WILL OCCASIONALLY ASKED TO BE ON SITE.

PLEASE NOTE: PREFERENCE IS FOR SOMEONE WHO CAN WORK ON SITE REGULARLY

COMPENSATION: $95,000 - $120,000 SALARY, FULL BENEFITS, BONUS & STOCK OPTIONS (TARGETED FULL COMPENSATION PACKAGE @ 150,000)

TRAVEL: 30-50% (MOSTLY DOMESTIC, POSSIBLY EUROPE)

Play a strategic role in client engagements by exercising your business acumen, understanding of business process improvement, knowledge of enterprise software solutions (i.e. erp, crm, mrp) and natural leadership abilities!  If you enjoy working with sales teams, technical implementation teams and client organizations, this may be an excellent opportunity to pursue!

 

In this role, you will make a huge impact on clients’ processes for creating, manufacturing and introducing new products. You will help clients address major challenges around new product development (NPD) and develop plans for overcoming those challenges by consulting and creating a blueprint for the implementation of a Microsoft-based enterprise software solution (implemented in similar fashion to how an ERP or MRP would be). Throughout each sales cycle and project, you will act as an advisor for both internal and external teams including both business and technical audiences.

 

As a key player in both the sales cycle and software roll out, you will be held accountable for overall client satisfaction while ensuring successful delivery of expected business impact within client organization.

 

Responsibilities Include, and are not limited to, the following:

 

Attend pre-sales calls with Sales Engineers to facilitate victorious sales process

 

Meet with key individuals within client organization to consult on business process and figure plan for product implementation

 

Partner with technical Architect/PM to ensure successful implementation of enterprise software solution (according to client’s business impact objectives)

 

Act as a business process SME and advise a variety of players (ranging from individuals in consulting services to sales to accounting to software development to product management) on challenges that arise related to the company’s software solutions

After implementation, work with clients to fine tune their level of acceptance and proficiency with product

Contribute ideas and expertise to the creation of company’s future products and services

 

Develop and nurture long-term client relationships that will allow company to continue serving client with future products and services

 

REQUIREMENTS:

10+ years career experience

5+ years related experience (including business process improvement leadership and business development/sales cycle involvement)

Experience applying technical solutions (such as ERPs, CRMs, MRPs or other enterprise software) to solve business challenges (from both a tactical and strategic perspective)

SME level of knowledge in Business Process Analysis, Management, and/or Improvement

Solid experience in New Product Development (NPD Certification desired)

Driven by and accountability for client satisfaction

Track record of success in similar business development roles

Desire to work with and lead cross-functional teams

Analytical mind-set

Excellent leadership skills (including confidence, self-motivation, conflict resolution skills)

Superior communication skills (verbal & written)

Experience working with Microsoft Technologies

Ability to participate in SOW, RFI, RFP definition

Team player

US Citizenship or Green Card (cannot sponsor visa for this position)

 

PLUSES:

Experience with product innovation in consumer goods (FMCG), food / beverage, chemical,  medical device or other similar area of manufacturing

Experience in product development for any specific vertical market

Experience within an organization focusing on Business Intelligence, Product Development, or ERP/MRP related solutions and services

Consulting background

PDMA New Product Development Professional (NPDP / NPD) Certification highly desired
