Java Developer-1 year contract
Tri-Com Consulting Group is currently seeking a Java Developer for their client located in eastern Connecticut. This is a one-year contract opportunity.
Responsibilities
· Works closely with subject matter experts to author user interface, function, and design specifications. Investigate and analyze current vendor supplied software Develops Java program solutions. Authors comprehensive testing plan for programs and application. Assist with end user training of application. Compiles documentation. Supports and implements vendor supplied software
Minimum Qualifications: A solid IT background including a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent combination of training and experience.At least two to five years programming experience in a large data processing environment.Ability to independently analyze and translate assigned specifications into operating programs and prepare detailed program documentation.Fluency in Java, J2EE, and a Java IDE. Experience in training users or consulting with users for computing problems.Good written and oral communication skills. Programmatic understanding of Oracle 10g database concepts and SQL programming. Experience with Solaris/Linux Operating Systems.Experience designing, implementing, and administering web applications and established success working in a team environment and with a diverse user community are essential.
