International Business Development Coordinator position - right here in Wichita!

DEAN & DELUCA, the icon of the American epicurean experience, is seeking a full-time International Business Development Coordinator to be based out of it’s Corporate Office in northern Wichita, KS.

 

 

POSITION SUMMARY

 

Primarily responsibilities will be to support, maintain, document and develop information flow, best practices and relationships with International partners to effectively grow business.  Reports to the Director of Business Development.

 

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

 Assist in defining, designing and implementing processes as necessary to organize and efficiently manage international licensee businessesAnticipate, research and report on exporting and labeling laws as they pertain to food and houseware products in conjunction with relevant countriesUse personal judgment and initiative to develop effective & constructive solutions to challenges and obstacles in export activities and proceduresCommunicate with export related authorities, partners and suppliers in relevant countries as necessary to ensure efficient, positive and lawful relations, support and activitiesCollaborate with international partners and merchandising staff on product assortmentsAssist with contract negotiations for sales/purchases to enable effective trading, operations and licensee/supplier relationsSet-up, organize and maintain core product and vendor information for international programPrepare and submit relevant administration in a timely and accurate manner for example; purchase orders, shipping schedules, invoices, packing lists and various certifications as deemed necessaryPlan and manage the effective and necessary conversion of weights, sizes, values, ingredients, language interpretations, etc. for relevant countriesCommunicate and provide information by relevant methods to suppliers and international partners to assist and enable export processesArrange and participate in meetings and project team activitiesApprove decisions, requests and recommendations on behalf of senior staff in their absence according to agreed guidelines and proceduresAccept and adapt easily to changeOccasional travel as necessary (less than 20%)

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:Associates Degree or equivalent experience.  Candidates with a bachelors in International Business will move to the front of the line and will be strongly considered for growth opportunities as our business expands.1-3 years buying or merchandising experience1-3 years International business experience preferred (import or export based)Well developed internet utilization and research skills Exceptional organizational and follow-thru skills Excellent communication skills – written & verbal Desire to continually gain knowledge of international business relations Results oriented with a positive outlook and work ethic Ability to work well with others within and outside of the organization Strong team player Sense of urgency Ability to handle multiple priorities Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
