IT Engineering Associate Position (System Admin)

* Provide 24/7 monitoring of our clients enterprise backup infrastructure including local and remote sites.

* Perform day-to-day application administration and maintenance of VERITAS Netback up Datacenter products used for enterprise backup and recovery services.

* Work closely with Tier 3 organizations and vendors to resolve difficult backup infrastructure problems.

* Troubleshoot backup hardware infrastructure problems and place service calls when problem cannot be resolved.

* Troubleshoot and resolve client-side backup software problems.

* Perform data restores for both server and desktop workstations in the event of data loss or corruption.

* Perform problem management using Service-Now ticketing system and custom reporting tools for most activities.

* Load tape media into automated tape libraries at multiple sites.

* Provide Tier 2 software support for B&L Associates Vertices used for tape media management.

* Perform consolidated event management for all of clients IT using Centauri.

* Provide Tier 2 after-hours support and triage for end-user problems.

* Produce reports with metrics on service requests, problem management, backup and statistics, number of events for IT and business units, etc.

* Maintain Word and HTML documentation consisting of procedures and support documents on related processes.

* Manage backups of legacy systems using older software.

* Archive, extract, and duplicate data on CD and tape for customers.

* Manage access to data centers.
